Make it Dark During the Night Cycle

It's very very dark for me at night, unless the moon is large and full. The only time I can see well at night is if I stand up and look down at the lcd. Haha

I used to complain about the darkness of some games because, yea, you couldn't see the ground under your feet without a light. But monitor has a large part to play. This LCD seems to make things too bright. Seems to have some sort of auto contrast system that is bringing up the dark too much. Was playing Minecraft a bit and found when I go into what should be really dark area, thinks start looking a little washed out as if it's trying to reduce the dynamic range. Gotta play with the settings some.

But the game has lighting problems also. Look across the lake at night when the sky is clear. The mountains should be dark, nearly blending into the night sky. But instead, they are medium gray level at best while the sky is black.
